The movies can make us believe almost anything, but it's still hard to believe that Todd Haynes managed to make "I'm Not There."

This is useful because it shows that I'm not there was believeable and for Todd Haynes this is unusual because his previous films seem almost critical of the character being portrayed and aren't as believeable such as Superstar: the Karen Carpenter story, which is portrayed with the use of barbie dolls which have been whittled away with knives, wheras in Im not there Dylan is more accurately portrayed.

Reese Witherspoon on the Difficult Task of Singing Like June Carter Cast in “Walk the Line:” “Well, [it was] nearly impossible so I just tried to be the best version of what I could be, because it was impossible to emulate her. And I’m sure on Joaquin’s part it was pretty difficult to emulate Johnny Cash. But we trained for five and a half months and learned to play instruments, record an album, and worked six or seven hours every day for five months on it. So you can’t say we didn’t try.“

This is a useful resource because she discusses the effort that went into making the part as much like June Carter Cash as much as she possibly could and it shows how much effort went into making the film as truthful as possible and realistic.
