Internet Resources

The movies can make us believe almost anything, but it's still hard to believe that Todd Haynes managed to make "I'm Not There."

This is useful because it shows that I'm not there was believeable and for Todd Haynes this is unusual because his previous films seem almost critical of the character being portrayed and aren't as believeable such as Superstar: the Karen Carpenter story, which is portrayed with the use of barbie dolls which have been whittled away with knives, wheras in Im not there Dylan is more accurately portrayed.

This is useful because it shows what the audience and critics thinkof the film and they both like it, it aslo says that the acting is superior which shows that the way Johnny Cash was portrayed was very believeable and true.

This website was useful because it showes the ratings for the film which were mostly four stars and the fact that it was quoted "the best music movie of the decade" also shows that it was successful and realistic.

This resource is useful because it discusses how Todd Haynes portrayes the many different aspects of Bob Dylans life through the use of actors, genres and stories and how the heart of the film is how Bob Dylan rose above his own time by being different all the time and showing different sides to his peronality, and this made the film so much more accurate.
